When a turn signal fails, there are a number of points you must check to locate the source of the problem. The turn signal circuit will stop working with as simple a thing as a burned out turn light. The Cadillac Escalade turn signals can stop working because of the failure of fuses, a bad flasher or failed light bulbs.

Instructions

    1

Locate the fuse panel inside the Escalade. The fuse panel for the instrument panel in the Escalade is on the driver's side. The fuse block is at the edge of the instrument panel.

    2

Look for fuse 16. This fuse controls the front and rear turn signals. If the small piece of metal connecting the two blades of the fuse is broken or melted, the fuse is bad and you must replaced it. The state of the fuse is evident by the strip of metal along the back of the fuse, even when installed.

    3

Examine the diagram of the fuse panel to make sure there is not another fuse that is associated with the turn signals or the flashers.

    4

Replace any blown fuses. Ensure that the replacement fuse has the same current rating.

    5

Check each of the bulbs to make sure they all work. If even one of the bulbs goes bad, it can cause all the lights to fail.
