The armrest for some cars is mounted on the door panel, or on the center console. In the 2007 Hyundai Accent, a flip down armrest is mounted on each front seat. This armrest is for the right arm on the driver's side and for the left arm on the passenger's side. If you want to make modifications to the Accent's seat, you can remove the armrest with ease. To reinstall it, simply reverse the removal procedure.

Instructions

    1

Access the armrest you want to remove. If you are removing the driver's side armrest, it's best to sit in the passenger's seat. If you are removing the passenger's side armrest, sit in the driver's seat. This gives you clear access to the mounting bolt.

    2

Push the armrest to its "Down" position. Examine the the side of the armrest to find the mounting bolt.

    3

Loosen the mounting bolt using your socket wrench. Pull the bolt out.

    4

Grasp the armrest and remove it from the seat. Repeat the process if you want to remove the other armrest.
