2002 Dodge Neon Fog Light Installation

If your 2002 Dodge Neon is equipped with fog lights, they are located in the lower corners of the front bumper cover. These lights may burn out over time if you regularly drive the car in excessively foggy weather or other impaired conditions. If you need to install new light bulbs in the Neon&039;s fog lights, you will need to remove the headlight housing from the bumper cover in order to remove the old bulbs and install new ones.

Instructions

    1

Open the car hood and remove the apron that is between the bottom of the bumper cover and the lower radiator support.

    2

Unscrew the fog light housing&039;s retaining nuts with a wrench and remove the housing from within the bumper cover.

    3

Press and disconnect the electrical connector for the fog light bulb holder, then pull the holder and the bulb straight out of the fog light housing.

    4

Insert the replacement bulb and holder into the fog light housing, making sure you don&039;t touch the bulb glass with your bare fingers. Wash off the glass with rubbing alcohol before you install it if you do touch the glass with your fingers.

    5

Install the fog light housing into the bumper cover and apply the mounting nuts, tightening the two nuts at one end of the housing with your wrench and the third nut on the other side.

    6

Reconnect the apron to the bumper cover and the lower radiator support behind the bumper.
