If you notice that one of the rear signal lights on your Mitsubishi 3000GT burns out, it's important to change it as soon as possible. Not only is it dangerous to drive without properly functioning signal lights, but it can invite an expensive ticket from your local law enforcement officer Here's how to replace the rear signal light on a 1997 to 2001 model 3000GT.

Instructions

    1

Visit your local auto parts store and purchase a replacement bulb. Be sure to note the model and year of your Mitsubishi 3000GT, as the clerk will need this information in order to provide the correct bulb.

    2

Disconnect the negative battery cable before you proceed.

    3

Use a screwdriver to remove the square plastic cover on the rear turn signal.

    4

Unscrew the nuts retaining the rear turn signal and remove the turn signal assembly. Carefully remove the burned out bulb from the socket.

    5

Wipe out the socket with a clean cloth. If the socket shows signs of excessive corrosion, now is a perfect time to replace the socket.

    6

Install the new turn signal bulb into the socket and replace the square plastic cover.

    7

Reconnect the negative battery cable, turn on the ignition and check to be sure the turn signal works correctly.
