If your car is covered with small dents and dings, it may be possible to remove them without modifying the paint or removing the body panel that needs retouching. Dent removal can be done in many ways. One of the cheapest and most accessible methods is to use compressed air to rapidly change the surface temperature of the body panel and cause the dent to pop out.

Instructions

    1

Heat the dented area using the hair dryer. Do this for about 30 seconds to one minute, holding the hair dryer approximately two to three inches away from the surface of the dented area of the body panel.

    2

Turn the air duster upside down so that cold carbon dioxide (CO2) gas is dispensed when you pull the air duster's trigger.

    3

Spray the CO2 gas directly onto the body panel on and around the dented area. When you are done, it will look like the dented area has been frozen.

    4

Allow the body panel to cool down and watch the dent reverse itself and conform to the factory lines of the body panel.
