The Plymouth Voyager spark plugs require replacement after 60,000 miles. The spark plugs of the Plymouth Voyager may be located on the firewall side of the engine. If this is the case, the windshield wiper assembly needs to be removed before replacing the plugs. Spark plugs that are working properly reduce gas mileage and maintain a clean engine.

Instructions

    1

Disconnect the battery cable so the radiator fan does not switch on after you turn the engine off. Allow the engine to cool before removing any components connected to the engine.

    2

Find the spark plug cables located along the front and back of the Plymouth Voyager engine. Grab the spark plug cable by the larger piece that covers the end of the spark plug and turn it 180 degrees in each direction. Pull out on the spark plug wire to disconnect it.

    3

Push the socket onto the spark plug and turn the socket wrench so it unscrews the spark plug from the engine. Pull to remove the spark plug from the well.

    4

Spray silicone spray into the cylinder well and coat the threads of the new spark plug with the silicone spray.

    5

Insert the new spark plug into the socket with the threaded end protruding.

    6

Screw the spark plug into the cylinder well and tighten it with the socket wrench. Test the tension on the spark plug and adjust the tension to the appropriate level listed on the manufacturer's packaging.

    7

Attach the boot of the spark plug wire to the end of the spark plug and twist to lock it in place. Repeat the above steps for the rest of the spark plugs.

    8

Return any removed components back to their original positions. Reconnect the battery cable.
