How Do I Remove a 96 Dodge Stratus Rear Bumper?

Any sort of body damage on your 1996 Dodge Stratus will not only reduce its aesthetic appeal, but it also its resale value. Some types of body damage, such as dented or cracked fenders, can be very difficult to repair, whereas others, such as dented bumpers, are relatively easy. Removing the rear bumper of your Dodge Stratus is a relatively quick task that can be done using tools that can be found in most homes.

Instructions

    1

Crawl underneath the rear bumper of the Stratus and locate the four bolts holding the bumper in place. There will be two bolts on each side.

    2

Remove all four bolts using your socket wrench and a 3/8-inch socket.

    3

Pry the bumper off the plastic clips that line the top edge of the bumper using a flat screwdriver.

    4

Pull the bumper off the back of your Dodge.
