It used to be that most small trucks didn't have any available power options, but as the market changed, more and more options became available, including power mirrors. If the motor on the mirror broke or maybe the mirror was hit in an accident, you'll need to replace it, or risk getting a ticket. But doing so requires lifting off the door panel, just to gain access.

Instructions

    1

Unscrew the door panel from the door using the Phillips-head screwdriver. There are screws at the bottom of the panel, under the arm rest, in the door handle and by the door speaker. Then use the window crank retainer tool to pop off the cover on the window crank and use the torx-head screwdriver to unbolt the window crank from the gears.

    2

Pull the door panel off of the door using your hands to release the clips from the door. Then put the panel to the side, out of the way.

    3

Unplug the power mirror from the wiring harness on the door, then use the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket to unbolt the mirror from the door. Before you undo the last bolt, hold the mirror with one hand to prevent the mirror from falling on the ground and getting damaged. Then unbolt the last bolt.
