The Geo Metro was in production for just less than 20 years. But when owning one, it's possible you'll experience a blown fuse at one time or another. Replace the blown fuse with a new one on your own in just a matter of minutes.

Instructions

    1

Turn off your Geo Metro before performing work with any fuse. Locate the fuse box that's on the driver's side below the steering wheel on the left.

    2

Remove the fuse box cover to reveal the fuses. Read the inside of the cover to locate the appropriate fuse needing replacement.

    3

Pull out the fuse using your thumb and index finger and inspect the inside wire. A blown fuse will have a broken or melted wire.

    4

Replace the blown fuse with one of the same amperage. Verify this on the box cover as replacing a blown fuse with a fuse that has the wrong amp rating can cause additional problems.

    5

Shut the fuse box and restart your Geo Metro. Test out the new fuse to verify it works.
