Whether you're driving a 2008 Toyota Highlander or an earlier model, it's possible to have a fuse blow. When this occurs, you can apply the same process, no matter the year. Have your electrical issue on your Highlander resolved in less than 30 minutes.

Instructions

    1

Shut down the ignition. Locate the fuse boxes, in the engine compartment on the driver's side.

    2

Find the other fuse box in the passenger compartment on the driver's side to the left side of the instrument panel. Open the fuse box to reveal the fuses inside.

    3

Read the inside cover of the fuse box to learn the location of the fuse you need. Remove the fuse by pulling it out.

    4

See that the inside wire is melted or split if the fuse has blown. Replace it with a new fuse that has the same rating, verifying the correct amperage against the fuse box cover.

    5

Push the new fuse into place and close the fuse box cover. Test out the new fuse once you restart your Highlander.
