The ABS relay in the Dodge Durango is part of the control module known as the CAB (Controller Anti-Lock Brake). Working on the ABS system in the Dodge Durango does not require any special tools. The Durango's design allows for fairly easy access to the ABS relay and the CAB. The CAB is the unit which will be replaced in the Dodge Durango.

Instructions

    1

    Turn the ignition to OFF. Disconnect the negative cable on the battery.

    2

    Free the Controller Anti-Lock Brake (CAB) from the harness connector locks and remove the harness connectors from the CAB.

    3

    Disconnect the electrical connector on the pump motor.

    4

    Unscrew the CAB from the Hydraulic Control Unit and remove the CAB.

    5

    Return the new CAB to the HCU and install the mounting screws. Tighten the screws to manufacturer's specifications.

    6

    Reconnect the harness on the pump motor and the harness to the CAB and lock the connectors in place.

    7

    Reconnect the negative cable on the battery.
