The Plymouth Voyager is a car produced by Chrysler Corporation from 1974 through 1998. Removal of the oil pan on the Voyager happens whenever there is damage to it or when it needs to be cleaned out. The most common engine size in the Voyager is the 2.4L engine.

Instructions

    1

Position the vehicle on a flat surface and use a jack to raise the vehicle. Follow the jack stand manufacturer's directions in supporting the vehicle with jack stands.

    2

Drain the engine oil from the vehicle by placing an oil drip pan under the oil pan, located on the very bottom of the engine block, in the center portion of the vehicle. Use a wrench to unscrew the oil pan plug, which will allow oil to drain into the drain pan below.

    3

Use a wrench to disconnect the negative battery cable located under the hood of the vehicle. The battery is at the front, left-hand side of the car, right behind the left front light.

    4

Remove the structural collar and air compressor bracket to oil pan bolt. These are located under the vehicle, next to the oil pan and require a wrench to loosen and remove them.

    5

Unscrew each of the oil pan bolts around the outer edge of the oil pan using a wrench. Support the oil pan with one hand while removing the bolts. The oil pan will drop off once all of the bolts are removed.
