The front grille on a 1994 GMC pickup protects the radiator and air conditioning condenser and provides a stylish look to the front end of the truck. Grilles come in many different shapes and colors and are prone to damage from accidents. If the grille is damaged, you can remove it to replace it with a new one in about 45 minutes. In this case, the project vehicle is a 1994 GMC Sierra, but the process is similar for other GMC pickups as well.

Instructions

    1

Pop the hood. Remove the corner lenses located below the headlights using the Phillips screwdriver. Pull the lens out of the grille and untwist the lights from the lenses.

    2

Remove the bolts along the top of the grille using the 1/4-inch ratchet and socket. Unbolt the four bolts at the bottom of the grille with the ratchet: two behind the corner lenses you removed in Step 1 and two behind the center of the grille.

    3

Pull the grille towards you. Untwist the light bulbs out of the lights on the sides of the grille with your hands. Pull the grille off the truck.
