The Jetta body style was created as a result of marketing observations in North America. North American preferences leans toward Sedans and that is what the Jetta is-an economical sedan. The cost of a Jetta is higher than other VW. It is the highest selling European car in North America. The Jetta comes as a two-door, four-door and station wagon.

Instructions

    1

Check for the operation of the signal lights on the VW Jetta. Read in your owner's manual the code for the VWJetta turn Signal Assembly kit. Write the code down and take it to the store with you.

    2

Decide if the whole turn signal assembly is broken or if a wire simply came loose. If it is just the light bulb, find the light housing and unplug it.

    3

Search for the best replacement part for your turn signal at a dealership. Replacement 12-5013-01 is best for 1993-1995 models.

    4

Turn the bulb socket as you pull it from the housing. Don't pull too hard, as there are wires attached to the housing.

    5

Take the new replacement turn signal assembly and plug it back into the car. Inspect the bulb's filament to see if it is broken before you install the replacement. This will save you aggravation later.

    6

Make the same type of inspection to the sidemarker lights on the VW Jetta. Find the sidemarker lights under the front bumper.

    7

Screw the bulb socket and housing back into place. Always check the turn signal light to see if it works correctly after a repair before driving.
