The Nissan Pathfinder's complex power mirror and door panel construction makes it a project for an experienced do-it-yourself vehicle owner. The project only requires a few basic tools for model years 1996 to 2004.

Instructions

Remove Old Mirror

    1

Disconnect the car's battery before starting to avoid injury.

    2

Take the interior door handle assembly off, using a screwdriver.

    3

Take the door's armrest off the Nissan Pathfinder's front door assembly.

    4

Pull the power window switches off and disconnect the connectors.

    5

Detach the bolts and clips holding the door panel. Lift the panel off the door.

    6

Take out the clip securing the inner cover of the mirror and the harness connector.

    7

Remove the bolts holding the mirror in place, then take the mirror assembly off the Pathfinder.

Install New Mirror

    8

Push the new mirror into place making sure the electrical connector is through the hole and connected.

    9

    Replace the mounting nuts.

    10

Attach all electrical connectors including the new mirror.

    11

Put the door trim panel back in place, add all screws and put the door handle assembly back on the Pathfinder.
