If any of the rearview mirrors in your GMC Denali truck are broken, you need to repair them quickly for safety purposes. Replacements for these mirrors can be found at most auto parts stores. The replacement method varies depending on if it's an inner or outer mirror.

Instructions

Outer Mirrors

    1

Pull off the triangle-shaped trim panel above the door inner panel to uncover the mirror's mounting nuts and possible electrical connector.

    2

Disconnect the electrical connector for the mirror if the Denali is equipped with power mirrors. Squeeze its tabs and pull them apart.

    3

Remove the three mirror mounting nuts within the corners of the triangular recess using a small wrench and remove the mirror from the door.

    4

Insert the replacement mirror in the door so its three mounting studs fit into the holes and feed the wiring--if equipped--through its central hole. Secure the mirror with the three nuts and connect the electrical connector.

    5

Reconnect the trim panel to the door. Press its clips into the mounting slots.

Inner Mirror

    6

Unscrew the single screw within the mirror's mount using a Phillips screwdriver and disconnect the mirror from the support base.

    7

Clean the windshield and mounting surface of the support base using a solvent if the base comes loose from the windshield. Apply a special adhesive (which should be found at auto parts stores) to connect the base back to the windshield and let it sit overnight.

    8

Slide the replacement mirror onto the support base and connect it with the set screw.
