How to Use Bondo Dent Puller

3M's line of Bondo dent pullers use suction to remove a dent in your vehicle's body. Using suction eliminates the need to drill holes in the body, or deform it with body hammers. The amount of suction applied to the vehicle body depends on the cleanliness of the vehicle body and the amount of contact between the puller and the body. Dents larger than the diameter of the puller might require multiple pulls before the dent pops into place.

Instructions

    1

Wipe the dented area of the body with a damp cloth.

    2

Wet the concave surface of the Bondo dent puller with a clean section of the damp cloth. This will increase the suction created by the puller.

    3

Set the wet suction cup of the puller in the center of the dent. Hold the puller firmly against the body. Lift the puller handle away from the vehicle body to secure it to the sheet metal.

    4

Pull the puller handle toward you until the dent "pops" into place. Release the handle. Inspect the dented area. Move the Bondo puller to any section of the dent remaining in the sheet metal.

    5

Clean the suction cup after use with the damp rag to avoid dirt buildup.
