You may know where you're going, but the drivers around you rely on your turn signal lights to forewarn them when you make a turn. There's no reason to drive your Dodge Durango as a hazard to yourself and others because you don't have properly working signal lights when they are so fast and inexpensive to replace on your own.

Instructions

    1

Open the hood of your Durango to replace the front signal lights. Use a socket wrench to take out the two bolts that hold the headlamp assembly to the upper fender reinforcement at the outer edge of the open hood just above the headlights. Carefully pull back the wheel liner.

    2

Unlock the turn signal assembly by finding the screw on the bottom corner of the headlight assembly. It is toward the outside part of the vehicle. Remove that screw with the screwdriver and pull it straight out from underneath the headlight.

    3

Rotate the signal assembly a fourth turn counter clockwise to remove the socket from the lamp housing. Pull the signal light bulb straight out from the socket.

    4

Replace with a new trade number 3457AK bulb, which can be purchased at any auto parts store. Simply push the new bulb in. Twist the socket back into the signal light assembly, and slide it back inside the bottom part of the headlight.

    5

Replace the screw. Secure the entire headlamp assembly back in place with the mounting bolts.
