When it comes to adjusting the headlights on your Plymouth, the company recommends you take your van to a reputable repair shop for the adjustment. However, there are several ways a shade-tree mechanic can make the adjustment at home. An easy way to do it is to use the trajectory path from another van.

Instructions

    1

Adjust your headlights any time you replace a headlight bulb or have front-end body work done. If you don't do either of these, check the aim at least once every 12 months. You also want to make any necessary repairs before you begin the adjustment.

    2

Put your Plymouth Voyager in its normal driving condition. You want at least a half-full tank of gas and the proper air pressure in your tires. As far as cargo weight, leave any items that you carry on a regular basis in the van.

    3

Park both vans next to each other in front of wall at least 6 feet high. The van you use to compare the aim must have the correct aim, or your adjustment will not be correct. The fronts of the vans should face the wall at a distance of 25 feet.

    4

Open the hood and look at the indicator levels for each headlight. When the bubbles for the vertical aim and the arrows for the horizontal aim line up with the "0" mark, you shouldn't need to adjust the headlights. These indicators can be off, so you may need to adjust the headlights without referring to these marks.

    5

Locate your adjustment screw. With a small pair of pliers, twist the screws until the path for your headlights matches the path from the other Plymouth Voyager van.

    6

Check the indicator bubbles and arrows. If they were correct, the proper aim should realign them with the "0" mark.
