The Dodge Intrepid's complex power mirror construction makes it a do-it-yourself replacement for a owner with experience. The project only requires a few basic tools for all model years.

Instructions

Remove Old Mirror

    1

Disconnect the negative battery cable before you take the front door trim panel off the Intrepid door. Remove all screws and clips and carefully prying the panel from the door.

    2

Slide the front window trim off, and unplug the Intrepid's mirror power connector.

    3

Pull the cover off the mirror assembly to allow access to all nuts and bolts.

    4

Remove the nuts on the mirror and door frame, and take the harness plug out while feeding the wire through the hole.

    5

Take the old power mirror off the door of the Intrepid.

Install New Mirror

    6

Feed the new power mirror wire through the hole and connect the harness plug.

    7

Put the new Intrepid mirror against the door frame and replace the nuts. Tighten all nuts until the mirror fits snugly in place.

    8

Replace the window frame trim by sliding in back into place.

    9

Install the door trim panel, and reconnect your battery cable.
