Nissan Maxima's great performing car makes a terrific choice as a low-maintenance, family sedan. If the Maxima's power mirror is broken, this do-it-yourself auto repair option is for all Maxima series cars of all model years.

Instructions

Remove Old Mirror

    1

Disconnect the negative battery cable before starting the mirror repair.

    2

Take the inside door trim panel off your Nissan Maxima. Remove all screws and clips that hold it in place around the outside and near the arm rest.

    3

Pry the plastic triangle-shaped mirror cover from the door panel using a cloth covered screw driver. Detach the sail trim panel.

    4

Remove the bolts and nuts that attach the door frame and mirror.

    5

Separate the entire mirror assembly from the door, and completely remove it.

Install New Mirror

    6

Put the new mirror in place. Attach the nuts and bolts in the same order you removed them. Secure them tightly before moving to the next step.

    7

Connect the mirror wire to the Maxima's electrical supply wire coming out of the door panel. Replace the mirror sail trim panel and interior cover.

    8

Put the door trim panel back in place, snap all clips into place and replace all screws.
