Pulling the front bumper on the Chrysler 300C SRT8 may be necessary if you need to repair the body of the car after a collision. In many cases, when one refers to pulling the bumper, one is referring to the removal of the front bumper cover and not the bumper itself. However, once the bumper cover is removed, you may proceed to remove the bumper itself, if necessary.

Instructions

    1

Disconnect the Chrysler 300C SRT8's negative battery cable with a wrench. Leave the hood open and wait 15 minutes for the airbag system to disarm.

    2

Inspect the area of the bumper cover in front of the front wheels. You'll see three Phillips screws on each side. Remove them.

    3

Access the area beneath the front bumper cover. You'll find nine Phillips screws on the bumper cover's underside. Remove the nine screws then remove the panel they are mounted to.

    4

Remove the Phillips screw from the left edge of the grille. Remove the four Phillips screws from the center of the grille.

    5

Pull the bumper cover off, starting with either side. For best results, have an assistant help you. Behind the bumper cover, you'll find two connections. One is for the tire pressure monitoring system and the other is for the headlight washer system, if equipped. Unplug the two connections and move the bumper cover to the side.

    6

Inspect the bumper. On each side, you'll find four spot welds. These spots will appear as a different shade of metal than the rest of the bumper. Behind these welds are the bumper mounting bolts.

    7

Drill out the spot welds using a drill to expose the four mounting bolts on each side. Remove the mounting bolts while an assistant supports the bumper for you. Remove the bumper from the 300C.
