Automotive grille emblems are applied using 3M adhesive. This adhesive is applied to the back of the emblem; it creates a bond between the emblem and the vehicle which usually lasts the life of the vehicle unless physical damage occurs. The Nissan Murano's front-grille emblem is typical of other emblems. It mounts in the center of the front-grill insert. Installing a new grille emblem takes less than 10 minutes.

Instructions

    1

Clean the grille-emblem mount thoroughly. Wipe the area with rubbing alcohol and a clean towel. If any adhesive remains from the original emblem, be sure to remove it or the new emblem will not forge a strong bond.

    2

Open the front-grille emblem package. Peel the protective layer from the back of the front-grille emblem.

    3

Line up the front-grille emblem with the mount. There should be one or two small indentations on the mount and two bumps on the back of the emblem. Use these as a guide for mounting the emblem straight.

    4

Attach the emblem to the grille. Push the emblem firmly to attach it. Apply pressure to the emblem for 10 to 15 seconds.
