Remanufactured fuel injectors are a popular way to get quality solutions for fixing or optimizing a fuel line. There are several telltale signs that can indicate remanufactured fuel injectors have been installed. Use these to help determine the origin of fuel injectors already present in a vehicle's fuel line.

Instructions

    1

Look for wear mismatch. One clue to piecemeal installation is that parts installed later will not match in terms of the general particulate patterns or wear patterns on connected parts. This is a very basic way to see what may have been installed later on a vehicle.

    2

Look for dates. The remanufactured fuel injectors may have dates stamped on them to show when they were refurbished or shipped out. This is another clue to the origin of the parts.

    3

Spot any company certifications for remanufactured or refurbished parts. A fuel injector or other component may have a sticker or stamp indicating it has been fixed to the original specifications of a specific manufacturer.

    4

Check for the retail shop's signature. Some sellers of remanufactured parts also stamp their own mark on parts to show that they were the providers of remanufactured or refurbished solutions.

    5

Pinpoint wear patterns on a part that show it has been worked on. In some cases, poor alignment of casings or other parts can show that the piece has been remanufactured. Parts are not always free from cosmetic blemishes and sometimes you can see this as evidence of a remanufactured part of the fuel line.
