The door panels on a 2006 Ford F-250 contain the switches for the power windows and the interior grab handles, and they protect the internal components on the door, such as the window regulators and door latches. Should one of these internal components need repair or replacement, then you'll need to remove the door panel so that you can properly access the part.

Instructions

    1

Open the door with your hand. Insert the tip of a nylon pry bar between the door panel and the power window switch. Gently pry the power window switch panel up from the door panel. Unplug the wiring to the power window switch with your hands, and take the power window switch panel away from the truck.

    2

Remove the bolt just forward of the interior door handle, using a 1/4-inch ratchet and socket. Insert a nylon pry bar between the courtesy light cover in the corner of the door and the door panel, and pry off the cover. Remove the bolt underneath the courtesy light cover with a 1/4-inch ratchet and socket. Pull off the triangular side mirror cover above the door panel with your hands.

    3

Grab the interior door panel at the grab handle with your hands. Lift the panel up about two inches by the grab handle and then slide it off.
