Routine maintenance on older-model vehicles, regardless of the make, is fairly easy. Replacing a headlamp in a Chrysler 2001 Town and Country requires just a few basic steps and a little prior knowledge. Knowing how to get to the headlamp housing in your car is the first step.

Instructions

    1

Locate the headlamp housing under the hood of your car. The headlamp housing is at the very front of the inside of the vehicle on both the right and left side. It should look like two metal boxes attached to the car body with several screws.

    2

Find the small handle at the top of the box where you need to change the headlamp. Three small screws hold the handle in place.

    3

Remove the three screws from the top of the box. Set them aside in a safe place.

    4

Pull the entire headlamp box away from the front of the vehicle. The wires will still be connected, but this will give you access to the bulb.

    5

Grasp the headlamp bulb, and turn it to remove.

    6

Replace the old bulb with a new one designed for the Chrysler 2001 Town and Country. These are available at most auto-supply stores or online.

    7

Put the headlamp back in the housing, and return it to its original position. Then screw the three screws back into the handle on the top of the box.
