The Toyota Solara is a coupe version of Toyota's popular Camry sedan. Although it's frequently referred to as the Solara, the official name for the vehicle is the Toyota Camry Solara. The Solara has a two-piece back seat unit. The rear seat cushion and the rear seat back are separate. The cushion is only held in place by a couple of hooks. The seat back is held in place by bolts and hooks. Removing the entire setup shouldn't take longer than 10 minutes.

Instructions

    1

Open the Solara's back doors. Grasp the center of the front part of the rear seat cushion firmly. With your other hand, grasp the center of the rear part of the rear seat cushion.

    2

Push the rear part of the rear seat cushion down firmly. With your other hand, lift the front part of the rear seat cushion with force. Continue to push down the rear. The seat cushion will disconnect from the Solara.

    3

Lift the seat cushion and remove it from the Solara.

    4

Remove the two bolts from the rear seat back. There is one bolt at each end. Use a ratchet or socket wrench.

    5

Apply pressure with your hands to each side of the rear seat back. You may have to position yourself in the back seating area to do this. Push the rear seat back up firmly to unhook the top clips. You can now remove the seat completely. Lift it out of the Solara.
