Get the right tie rod ends for your Camaro. These can vary according to the model year, so you want to make sure you get parts that will actually work with your vehicle. The tie rod ends come with new nuts.
2Remove the lug nuts on the front wheels, and jack up your car. One you have it secured on jacks, take off the wheels.
3Loosen and remove the nut on the end of the tie rod that secures it to the steering knuckle, then use a tie rod separator to separate them.
4Unscrew the tie rod end from the threaded portion of the tie rod, and count the number of turns it takes. Writing this number down.
5Screw on the replacement tie rod end, and put it into the steering knuckle. Screw on the new nut, and tighten it to 35 foot pounds.
6Repeat the steps for the other tie rod end. Put on the wheels, tighten the lug nuts to 100 foot pounds, and get your Chevy Camaro aligned.
