Suction-style dent pullers can be used to repair small dings and dents in the comfort of your own driveway, providing that the dents are not bad enough to cause creases or wrinkles in your car's metal body. While this method is easy to do, there are a few steps that you must take to get the best results.

Instructions

    1

Wash the dented area with car soap and a soft sponge. Rinse the area completely to remove all soap, then dry the area with a chamois to remove all water from the dented surface.

    2

Press the dent puller against the side of the car. Place the dent puller directly over small dents, or along the edge of a larger dent.

    3

Push the dent puller against the car, using very firm pressure. Squeeze the handles on the dent puller together to lock it into place and create suction.

    4

Pull back on the dent puller using even pressure to pull the dent out. Do this as many times as it takes to pull the dent out of the metal. If the dent puller loses suction and comes off of the car, re-attach the puller and try again.
