How to Remove Rust From Car Parts

This article is about how to de-rust ferrous metal car parts in a short time in an environmentally safe manner.

Instructions

    1

Take your rusty car part and pre-clean by spraying down, just to ensure all or as much dirt, grease, and grime are removed from the surface as possible.

    2

Take your car part and immerse in Evapo-rust rust remover. Make sure all surfaces you want de-rusted are completely submerged. Leave submerged for 30 minutes to 2 hours depending on the degree of rusting the part has.

    3

Remove from Evapo-Rust and inspect. If all rust is removed, wash with water, allow to dry, re-dip in solution for protection, and you're done. If you are not satisfied with the level of rust removal, leave in container a little longer. If you forget about it, and leave it in for a long time, it will not damage steel, but the rust will fall out and re-coagulate at the bottom of container into solid steel shapes.
