Whether you're driving a 2008 Toyota Highlander or an earlier model, it's possible to have a fuse blow. When this occurs, you can apply the same process, no matter the year. Have your electrical issue on your Highlander resolved in less than 30 minutes.
Instructions
- 1
Shut down the ignition. Locate the fuse boxes, in the engine compartment on the driver's side.
2Find the other fuse box in the passenger compartment on the driver's side to the left side of the instrument panel. Open the fuse box to reveal the fuses inside.
3Read the inside cover of the fuse box to learn the location of the fuse you need. Remove the fuse by pulling it out.
4See that the inside wire is melted or split if the fuse has blown. Replace it with a new fuse that has the same rating, verifying the correct amperage against the fuse box cover.
5Push the new fuse into place and close the fuse box cover. Test out the new fuse once you restart your Highlander.
