The Chevy Camaro has changed throughout the years since its creation in 1967 until its last run in 2002. An electrical issue is often a result of a blown fuse and is simple to check and replace. Replacing fuses on a Chevy Camaro is the same for all model years and takes just minutes to do.
Instructions
- 1
Shut down the car before working with the fuses. Locate the fuse box in your Camaro on the driver's side. It's to the left of the instrument panel.
2Open the cover on the instrument panel to expose the main fuse box. Read the inside cover to find out the location of the fuse you need. For example, in a 2002, Camaro the hazard lights are in the STOP/HAZARD slot.
3Remove the fuse using your thumb and index finger and look at the wire inside. If the fuse is blown, the wire is burned out.
4Put in a fuse of the same amperage into the slot. The hazard lights referenced in Step 2 will use a 20-amp fuse.
5Click it into place and close the cover. Start the Camaro and verify the new fuse works properly.
