The Toyota Tacoma comes from the factory with a chrome grille, but some models do have black grilles to save cost. Maybe you want to upgrade to a chrome grille for looks, or just remove the stock model to install a billet or metal insert. Or possibly you need to take off the grille to fix body damage from an accident. Regardless, the first thing you must do is remove the stock grille.

Instructions

    1

Remove the corner lenses on the front grille, using a Phillips-head screwdriver. Pull the lights away from the fenders, then twist the light bulb away from the light by hand.

    2

Unscrew the grille shell from the core support, using the screwdriver. There are a few screws across the top of the panel and a few along the bottom.

    3

Pull the grille off the core support to release the clips holding it in place. Then set it to the side where it won't get damaged.
