The Nissan Pathfinder's complex power mirror and door panel construction makes it a project for an experienced do-it-yourself vehicle owner. The project only requires a few basic tools for model years 1996 to 2004.
Instructions
Remove Old Mirror
- 1
Disconnect the car's battery before starting to avoid injury.
2Take the interior door handle assembly off, using a screwdriver.
3Take the door's armrest off the Nissan Pathfinder's front door assembly.
4Pull the power window switches off and disconnect the connectors.
5Detach the bolts and clips holding the door panel. Lift the panel off the door.
6Take out the clip securing the inner cover of the mirror and the harness connector.
7Remove the bolts holding the mirror in place, then take the mirror assembly off the Pathfinder.
Install New Mirror
- 8
Push the new mirror into place making sure the electrical connector is through the hole and connected.
9Replace the mounting nuts.
10Attach all electrical connectors including the new mirror.
11Put the door trim panel back in place, add all screws and put the door handle assembly back on the Pathfinder.
