Nissan Maxima's great performing car makes a terrific choice as a low-maintenance, family sedan. If the Maxima's power mirror is broken, this do-it-yourself auto repair option is for all Maxima series cars of all model years.
Instructions
Remove Old Mirror
- 1
Disconnect the negative battery cable before starting the mirror repair.
2Take the inside door trim panel off your Nissan Maxima. Remove all screws and clips that hold it in place around the outside and near the arm rest.
3Pry the plastic triangle-shaped mirror cover from the door panel using a cloth covered screw driver. Detach the sail trim panel.
4Remove the bolts and nuts that attach the door frame and mirror.
5Separate the entire mirror assembly from the door, and completely remove it.
Install New Mirror
- 6
Put the new mirror in place. Attach the nuts and bolts in the same order you removed them. Secure them tightly before moving to the next step.
7Connect the mirror wire to the Maxima's electrical supply wire coming out of the door panel. Replace the mirror sail trim panel and interior cover.
8Put the door trim panel back in place, snap all clips into place and replace all screws.
