How to Take Out Car Dents With Dry Ice

Getting a dent on your car can be irritating as well as costly. If it's just a small dent, sometimes using dry ice on the dent can help pop it out. The ice cools down the metal, allowing the molecules to get closer together. If you're lucky, after you remove the ice, a few minutes later the dent will pop out by itself once it returns to normal temperatures.

Instructions

    1

Put the gloves on your hands to protect yourself from getting burned by the dry ice. Look down the side of the car and locate the middle of the dent to be removed.

    2

Set the dry ice in the middle of the dent and hold it there for 15 to 30 seconds. Remove the dry ice and wait 5 minutes.

    3

See if the dent has lifted. If not, reapply the ice and wait again. Apply the ice on the remaining dents on the car or the dents around the one you just removed.

    4

Clean the surface with the automotive detailing spray and the microfiber towel.
