The last model 2005 Pontiac Bonneville produced all the way back to its origination in 1980 can experience a blown fuse at some point. When this happens, change out the bad fuse for a good one in just a few minutes. All Bonnevilles have the same process to change out a fuse no matter the model year, only varying the fuse locations.

Turn off your car before you work on replacing any fuses. Find the main fuse box by looking under the hood in the engine compartment.
2Lift the cover of the fuse box to expose the fuses. Look at the cover to find the location of each fuse housed there. As an example, the Bonneville headlight fuses are found in slots 5 and 6.
3Remove the fuse and check the middle wire. The fuse is blown if the wire is melted or broken.
4Find a new fuse with the same amperage rating as the one you just took out. The headlights referenced in Step 2's example, each use a 40 amp maxi fuse, a high current fuse.
5Click the new fuse into place and shut the fuse box cover. Check the functionality of the new fuse once you restart the Bonneville.
